Since antiquity, onions, shallots and garlic have been almost essential items in every kitchen. They play an invaluable role in preserving - on their own they make delicious crunchy pickles and chutneys and when combined with other ingredients they add texture, flavour and sweetness. Carefully hand peeled to retain flavour and crispness Maison Therese pickled onions are pickled in a spicy blend of Maison Therese vinegar, peppercorns, mustard seeds, bay leaves and chillies.

Serving Suggestions

- Use Maison Therese pickled onions with ploughman's lunches, atop cheese, cold meat, sandwiches or crackers.

- When sliced can add better flavour to salads or sauces.

- Here's a tip - use residual onion vinegar combined with salad oil, salt, pepper and a little garlic to make a delicious spicy salad dressing.

- Eat straight from the container.

- Add to an antipasto platter on the buffet table.

- Serve with pre-dinner drinks.

- Try finely sliced through pasta, on pizza, or tossed in a green salad.

- Ideal accompaniment to cheese and cracker.
